The mark of a killer Craft Beer bar is their imagination and boldness in how they set up their tap and bottle offerings. A good example, Independent of Tampa. No frills. No ridiculously expensive buildout to mask pour food and drink options. Just a solid joint that was built in an old service station with roll up doors and some good old community seating that forces you to talk to the other beer geeks about what you are both drinking. I love it. That’s what this industry and movement is all about.
It’s refreshing to be in another beer bar that stays true to why they opened in the first place. Cutting edge funky beers on tap, local favorites, proper glassware, great food options, and staff that lives the life. Well done Independent, one of my favorite must stops in Tampa!
